Duties & Responsibilities: Thorburn Security Security Officer
- Protect employees, visitors, buildings, and movable assets of the customer.
- Perform routine patrols of the premises to maintain security and deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities.
- Inspect plants, buildings, and movable equipment for potential security risks.
- Control access points, permitting entrance and egress according to established protocols.
- Utilize alarms and other devices to mobilize assistance when necessary.
- Report irregularities, inform violators of policies and procedures, and restrain trespassers.

- Complete reports detailing observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
- Ensure equipment is in working condition through preventative maintenance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and courtesy.

- Comply with local, provincial, and national government regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and provide necessary assistance to employees and customers.
- Safeguard company assets by implementing measures to prevent theft, assault, fire, and other safety hazards.
- Follow procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, and accident investigations.

Qualifications: Thorburn Security Security Officer
- Grade 11/12 or equivalent qualification.
- PSIRA registration.
- Driver’s license (an advantage).
- Firearm competency for business use (an advantage).
- Clear criminal record.
